Odika, who spoke on behalf of the Comptroller of Immigration Service, Enugu State Command, Alhaji Ismaila Bashir, said among those to be repatriated include 94 Nigeriens, 7 Togolese and 2 Beninoise.
Seven others found to be Nigerians were released.

According to Odika, the exercise, which will be continuous, is to ensure that all illegal immigrants were got rid of as directed by the headquarters.

Several immigrants had been seen in Enugu lately and sources said their influx into the coal city might be connected with the clamp down on them by immigration officials in Lagos and northern parts of the country.
